November 10, 2018: David Attenborough is really where this project began: in 2015, while watching "Jurassic Park," some friends convinced me he was dead. I burst into tears, but rallied sufficiently to confirm they were thinking of his brother Richard. I wrote Sir Attenborough immediately, crumbling at the idea that he might not ever know how central he is to me. He wrote back immediately, and the seeds of trying to more actively let all my heroes know their rank were planted. "Dynasties" and his comments on trying to wake people up by caring warranted writing him once again. Heroes aren't static. (Photographer unknown)
